Leadership/Professional Development | Chair's Message

Dear EPIC Toledo Members,

As the Committee Chair for the 2010 EPIC Leadership & Professional Development Committee we are looking to do many great things during the course of the year.   The purpose of our committee is to align our EPIC Toledo Members with the opportunities and knowledge to grow in their lives both personally and professionally. 

Our main goals for 2010 are:

We will be offering events and information under our “Impress Yourself Series” for our members that will involve all facets of development that can be transferred into people’s everyday lives.  These will include events that will give the attendees knowledge on

·        Participation on company and non-profit boards

·        Effective time management

·        Transition advice into different careers that will include people, companies and resources,

·        Social media which will include the negative aspects that surround the topic

·        Aspects of training and development in regards to working in an entrepreneurial company all the way to working in a non-profit organization

·        Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click Advertising

We will be partnering with the other EPIC Committees to aid in the knowledge transfer to the EPIC Membership.  The more that the Leadership & Professional Development Committee can be involved with the other committees our entire Membership will be much more rounded in the issues that affect our lives every day. 

We will meet the third Tuesday of every month at Gorillas & Gazelles LLC in Perrysburg, Ohio.  The committee will only be as strong as its members who volunteer their time, effort and passions.  So please feel free to come to a meeting and see what it is we are all about.  We are very excited about the year 2010.  If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.
